Rustic Garlic Braid Photo

I've been busy making garlic braids this week, so I decided a photo would be a good idea. I hung one on the wall of our barn and set up my tripod. I think the result was pretty nice, and would be perfectly suited to hang in a kitchen.

Attention Grabber!!

I love a great deal, don't you? I was at a nursery this past week and found GORGEOUS gerbera daisies for $1. I know I will only be able to enjoy them for another few months, but I still got one of every color. After all, isn't a few months of happiness worth $6? Of course the first thing I did when I got them planted was to get out my camera! This is a great attention grabbing print and is available in my Etsy Store.

In the Barn

It was just too hot to be making photographs outside this week so I escaped into the barn. I concentrated on lines and angles, and this one is my favorite from that afternoon. The aged wood in this old barn makes for a compelling image. I had limited time so I'll return soon for a second session. This print is currently available in my Etsy store (link is to the right).

Great gift idea!!

I added some cool flower photo coasters to my Etsy store today. This is for a set of 5 glass coasters, and they are totally customizable with any of the photos in my store. They also come with a white wooden storage holder. Perfect for any style decor and a unique gift for that person who has everything!

Keep an eye out for more gift ideas. I will be expanding my "Gift ideas" section very soon!

Mystery Flower

Have you ever seen a "Hindu Rope" plant? This one has been in my mom's house for 20 years, and just decided to flower last week. To be honest, I have always thought it was ugly. It has been dumped over numerous times (on accident of course), but still it takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

Mom left it outside on the picnic table for the summer. Imagine our surprise when we saw a cluster of blooms hanging off of it! At first we thought my boys had stuck some plastic flowers in it for decoration. Fuzzy little pink flowers surround white, pink, and yellow centers that look almost plastic. Very interesting shape and texture makes for an extraordinary image! Click on the Etsy link to the right if you would like to purchase the photo below or any of the others I have available.

Three cheers for the Red, White and Blue!

First and foremost I want to welcome you to our new blog! On here we will share new photos as they become available, and the story behind them. There will also be home decor ideas and samples of how our prints can be used!

One of the bouquets we planned in the spring was to have red, white and blue bouquets available at the farm market around July 4. They have been really well received and so I thought it would be a great idea for a photo as well. Here we have a red zinnia, a white larkspur, and a blue ageratum. With bright colors and beautiful light, this print would make a unique gift!
